Verdict

Thyme White came up against the smart Goshen on his debut at Sandown and was beaten 34 lengths. Goa Lil unseated his rider 2 out when beaten in that race but pulled much too hard. This sharper track should suit the latter, who could come out best this time if he settles better. Rowland Ward never threatened before falling at Warwick but should also know more today. HOMER won twice on the Flat in France for Andre Fabre. Entered in the Triumph Hurdle, he’ll know what’s required and can make a winning start over timber.
