Alexander Leaving has earned a rating of 108 over hurdles after landing a Gowran handicap in June and should make a chaser. Arnima showed massive improvement on his opening run over fences when a good third at Ballinrobe and further progress should see him in the frame. However, he was just behind DALE STREET in that event and, as the latter was making his debut over fences and had won his previous race over hurdles, he looks the one to be on. Lord Lir has had more experience than most but appears to have gone backwards so the main threat could prove to be Kalico Kim, who was still there though looking held when falling at the last in the race won by Shadow Eile at Killarney.
