In depth

Verdict

Batchelors Walk only found one too good at Gowran and Punchestown in October and was third on his reappearance at Roscommon. Fast ground isn't a problem and Maurice Phelan's charge shouldn't be far away. Credulous, second over course and distance last month, is tried in blinkers instead of the usual cheekpieces after only managing fourth at Tramore next time. He's another to consider but five-times Flat winner General Bunching has yet to show much aptitude for jumping hurdles. ROCK ON FRUITY has been racing over further but should handle this drop in distance given he travelled very strongly for much of the trip when third in a maiden hurdle at Roscommon last time - Charles Byrne's six-year-old gets the nod.
