Mere Catherine was a ready winner over track and trip in August before failing to stay 2m2f at Down Royal. She has leading claims in this but the hat-trick seeking Ivy Avenue may have problems lasting home. ADVANCED VIRGO made a very encouraging reappearance over this trip at Limerick when only beaten half-a-length and can go one better. The step up in distance should help last month’s Punchestown winner Garrison Commander but Gordon Elliott may have a jumps career in mind for Sharp Focus. Dedillon and Juliet Rose should be monitored for any market support while Lady Arona could be interesting if getting a run from her reserve spot.
