Verdict

Aragorn Icon had been threatening to lose his maiden tag before doing so in good style at Tipperary. However, a 9lb rise looks harsh and he's passed over in favour of IRISH REEL, who was running well from a mark of 70 at this time a year ago and is now down to 59. She made a fair reappearance after a very long break at Sligo last month and Pat Smullen has been booked again. Black N Brew won nicely over a mile at Bellewstown on the first day of the month and may have been feeling the effects when well beaten there two days later. Born To Excel has been racing over further which hasn't suited, while Blackwitch Woman was raised 7lb for her Roscommon victory and failed to fire at Naas subsequently.
