Verdict

A cracking prize has attracted a strong field headed at the weights by last season's Listed winner Radanpour, though he ran poorly in his two starts in the spring. Mandatario was conceding 15lb when beating Abraham narrowly at Leopardstown and there should be little between them again though Jim Bolger's charge has since run poorly at the Curragh. Asbury Boss is in very good form and though a long way behind Cliff House at Clonmel in May has made great strides subsequently. The winner has continued to run well over hurdles though may find this a bit short if the ground remains quick. Artful Artist has been raised 7lb for finishing runner-up at Galway but LE VAGABOND has been dropped 1lb after a very close fifth over a shorter trip at the same meeting. He was staying on strongly that day and the dual hurdles winner can take this under the excellent claimer Killian Leonard.
