In depth

Verdict

This is perhaps not as competitive as the numbers would suggest and Woodenbridge Dream, Bobsbest and Moorland Monarch are shortlisted and the vote is given to the first mentioned. The selection was well supported in the market when scoring easily at Huntingdon when beating Myson. That was a significant improvement on all previous form but his trainer revealed that the drop in trip had been a significant factor in his win and over the same distance today he has a leading chance. Bobsbest was not disgraced last time over 3m but he will be suited by this drop in trip and even though he may be a touch high in the weights at present he is entitled to again run his race. Moorland Monarch finished second behind She's Our Native last time but she was well beaten by the winner that day and she will have to improve to trouble our selection here. Ravenscar is fairly consistent and might be capable of gaining some place money here, but Woodenbridge Dream won quite emphatically last time and should be capable of getting his head in front again here.
