Verdict

PERFECT FRIEND comes into this race in great form and is taken to continue her winning ways at the expense of Caster Sugar and Astrodome. The selection gained her second career victory at Warwick on her penultimate run and wasn't discredited when finishing second to Dametime at Chepstow last week. She runs off the same mark of 70 this time around and if she reproduces that same level of form she is sure to be in the shake up. Caster Sugar was only narrowly beaten behind the selection at Chepstow last time out. That was a personal best run but as they meet on the same terms she will have to show further improvement to reverse the placings this time around. Astrodonna carries top weight which will make life tough but she has been knocking on the door in similar races of late so can't be totally ruled out. However, Perfect Friend ticks more boxes than the majority of her rivals and is the preferred choice.
