Verdict

There is very little between The Last Mohican, Philippa Yeates, Honey's Gift and Talarive in this contest and the tentative vote goes to Philippa Yates. The selection won well last time out when defeating Never Promise with plenty in hand, she remains a fair mark despite penalty and under conditions that suit she is taken to win again Last Mohican rates the main danger as he has won his last two races and defeated Dramatic Quest last time. However they were both sellers and he will do well to give weight and a beating to the selection. Honey's Gift is another that could go well but she has yet to win a race and for that reason she is passed over on this occasion. Talarive has conditions to suit and could go well at a price off what looks a good mark but he is far from straight forward and for the winner we return to Philippa Yates.
