A difficult race to predict the outcome of may see Drum Dance go close, with Sister Gee, Piddies Pride, Imperium and Silver Visage respected on past form. The majority of this field has been hard to win with, but Drum Dance at least looks well treated these days, considering that he was successful off a mark of 80 when landing a Thirsk maiden last year. Nigel Tinkler's charge has not progressed as hoped that is for sure, but having plummeted down the ratings over the past 12 months, recent signs have been encouraging, the son of Namid having been placed twice in this type of company of late. Sister Gee was two lengths in front of the selection when they met at Ripon a month ago, but on today's terms will do well to maintain the form. Piddies Pride has gained five career victories but has shown nothing since joining Gay Kelleway. She appears to be a hard ride lately but maybe Ryan Moore can sort her out. Imperium has to give weight away all round but would have a squeak on old form, while Silver Visage has disappointed badly in amateur races this year, but won a non-selling handicap at Lingfield in the summer of 2005. The market should tell us which of the others is fancied, but we return to Drum Dance, on whom a modest investment can pay dividends.
