In depth

Verdict

After The Rainbow may be the answer to a tricky event although Bold And Free and Urban Tiger are sure to have their supporters. After The Rainbow was a real eyecatcher on his debut at Newmarket. He failed to get a clear run on that occasion but his seventh position belies the fact that he was very much handled with kid gloves throughout. Drawn well today, he should be capable of leaving that form behind. Bold And Free is a half-brother to the useful Bay Story. At US$ 800000, he was scarcely a cheap purchase by any stretch of the imagination. Urban Tiger has had two solid runs in maiden company. He ran up against a listed type at Warwick in Johnny The Fish but will need to have improved in order to land this. The breeding suggests that anything Atlantic Waves achieves at this stage in his career will be an added bonus. Roll The Dice met some smart types at Doncaster although a perusal of the time shows that the race was a slow one. After The Rainbow caught our eye with his first run and with the likelihood of more improvement to come, we will not oppose.
