    Verdict

Rafta is in a purple patch at the moment and still could improve past his increased burden while Sunshine Always probably sets the standard in the form stakes in this handicap but with proven heavy ground form in the book KILLACHY STAR gets the call. After winning back to back races at the start of the summer the selection has run a couple of solid efforts off marks a pound heavier than he carries here. In normal circumstances his burden might look a little high but having found bottomless ground at Ayr just to his liking at about this time last year he may find enough improvement to score. Rafta is searching for a four-timer with one of those previous wins coming over course and distance on soft ground. While in this mood he should run another big race but with six pounds added to his burden in these conditions he might just be found wanting. Sunshine Always ran well in this company off this rating last time and would have been our selection if conditions were firmer while Imaam is another who would prefer things drier. It could be the ground that decides this race and Killachy Star should handle it the best.
