Verdict

Alan King's lightly-raced maiden William Hunter has shown some promise and is not out of this upped in trip. Jacob Cats won over 1m3f at Goodwood but has earned himself a penalty and wouldn't want to travel much further than this. THE NEW PHARAOH stayed on strongly to land an apprentices' race at Newbury last month and the second and third have both won since. He's been raised 6lb for that but can shrug off the extra. Plane Song has been struggling for form this year but Safira Menina won here last month, though both of her victories have come in Class 6 contests.
