In depth

Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for Mutanaseb and he can win at the main expense of Miss Lucifer and Lovelace. The selection can resume winning ways here having only been beaten two lengths last time out in a valuable Sandown handicap. This will be the quickest ground that he has encountered but it shouldn't pose any problems and he is strongly fancied to score under Richard Hills. Lovelace has won two of his four starts and Mark Johnston's Royal Applause colt can confirm the placings of his last win with the reopposing Miss Lucifer, although the latter is now 4lbs better off for that half a length defeat. Fares drops in grade here having been highly-tried by trainer Clive Brittain, whilst Jo' Burg is yet to truly build on last year's promise. Telltime completes the field but he looks sure to be outclassed, and so we will return to Mutanaseb who has a very promising future ahead of him.
