Verdict

HIGHTIME HEROINE and Hand Painted are the two progressive runners in the race and narrow preference is for the top-weight from the Jeremy Noseda yard. The trainer has his horses in very good form and this progressive filly certainly has a chance today as she races off a mark of 77 in a handicap for the first time. Her win at Yarmouth last time was fairly effortless and although she may need to improve again, the feeling is that with confidence boosted she could be well-treated. Hand Painted is up just 2lb for a narrow Folkestone success last time out and he has now won three of his last five starts, and been second in the other two. Jordaura looks sure to appreciate the stiffer finish here than at Bath last time where he was beaten just a nose, Fesko is starting to edge down to an attractive mark and the booking of Richard Hills catches the eye, whilst the return to six furlongs may see Golden Rosie run a better race than of late. Sutton Veny was outpaced at Sandown last time out so the step up in trip is an obvious move and he doesn't look badly treated, Lucky Dan is very consistent but may be in the grip of the handicapper, whilst this quicker surface may be ideal for Hellbender as he drops in trip and in the weights. A very open-looking handicap, however we are happy to side with Hightime Heroine.
