Several disappointing types in this, none more so than Gig Harbor, who has flattered only to deceive on more than one occasion. Mafruz has shown he has a little race in him, but he may do better when he goes handicapping, while the filly Key Virtue has also had plenty of chances and does not look one to rely on. This looks to rest between Thaw and Karamah. The former made the useful Michael Maher pull out all the stops at Lingfield, and has nothing to fear from Gig Harbor, who was over eight lengths behind her that day. However, this looks best left to Karamah, who was runner-up to subsequent 1000 Guineas favourite Gossamer on her debut at Newmarket last year.
