The Bard Song can prove to yet another money spinner for Eoghan O'Neill, with Chris Corsa, Unique Moment, and Colmar Supreme out to stop him. The Bard Song made a promising start to his career when fourth behind Psychic Star at Folkestone recently, and like the rest of the stable's juveniles, will improve a lot for the experience. The son of Shinko Forest is nothing special on breeding but you can bet his trainer will place him to good effect for owner John Fretwell. Chris Corsa has already been gelded, and he made up a lot of ground from the rear when a staying on fourth over six furlongs at Haydock. Michael Bell's runner should improve for the step up in trip and can also be involved in the finish. Unique Moment has more experience than most and is also set to play a part judged on her fast-finishing third at Carlisle. She was just behind subsequent winner Creative Mind that day though, and as the latter is a stable companion of the selection, it is hoped that the O'Neill camp will have weighed up what their challenger needs to find to come out on top. Of the rest, Colmar Supreme is surely better than she showed on rain-softened ground here in April and may reach the frame, but The Bard Song will do for us.
