Mr Splodge, Herecomestanley and Strong Magic are the three to look at here and Herecomestanley can resume winning ways. Mr Splodge was scoring for the third time over fences when winning over this course and distance last time. That was an impressive win but he may find his seven pound rise in the ratings prohibitive. Strong Magic is a consistent type who keeps hitting the frame and his success in this race last year was his last win. He does appear to lack a turn of foot in his finishes these days so maybe a place is the best he can hope for. After wide margin wins at Fakenham and Uttoxeter and Uttoxeter, Herecomestanley was beaten into second on a return visit to Fakenham. That was in a much better race than this however, and Herecomestanley races off the same mark here. Herecomestanley can take full advantage.
