Verdict

The unexposed Colour Play remains dangerous off this mark whereas Bocking End and Sepal appear to be where the handicapper wants them and need to find more on recent efforts in order to figure. Ghinia, sole representative of the older brigade, has been in the assessor's grip too since scoring at Windsor last autumn, although finally offered some leniency here with a 4lb drop in the ratings. Nevertheless, she still has plenty on to concede weight to a couple of progressive sorts, of which BRIEF VISIT makes most appeal on handicap debut after a very good effort behind a Haggas hotpot at Pontefract last time. She's the one here with the capacity to improve significantly off a fair mark and is preferred to the consistent Intermittent, a decent third at Windsor latest for Roger Charlton who can do little wrong at present.
