    Verdict

SHAMEKH caught a tartar at Bath when odds-on for a similar affair but had showed enough in a previous start at Doncaster to suggest that he is capable of winning a small race. Mr Stanley unsuccessfully tried to make all in a classified stakes at Pontefract and officially has 4lb to find with his Godolphin rival tonight while Kanakam and Counterattack are recent recruits to George Boughey having raced without success elsewhere. Cazcade makes her debut while the remainder are hard to make cases for.
