In depth

Verdict

Jakarmi gets the vote here over Halla San and Tagula Blue who are put forward as the main dangers. The selection does have a penalty for his recent win at Bath but he won in good style and he is game and consistent and with ground conditions to suit he is hard to oppose. Halla San looked progressive towards the end of last season when he twice got his head in front. He has got obvious claims here if he is fit enough to do himself justice on his seasonal reappearance and he is one to note in the market. Tagula Blue beat Archie Babe last time out but he is not the most reliable and although the booking of Keiren Fallon catches the eye he looks one to have reservations about. Oakley Absolute may prove best of the remainder but he was disappointing at Lingfield last time and for the winner we are happy to stick with Jakarmi.
