Richtee gets the vote over Top Spec, Velvet Waters and Magic Amigo in the finale. Richtee showed the benefit of two prior outings by landing an amateur riders' event at York a fortnight ago, although he was somewhat gifted the race by the runner-up Doveden Hero who seemed to duck the issue close home. Nevertheless, Richard Fahey's charge has slipped to a winning mark this year, and with Tony Hamilton back on board, can follow up, with ground and trip to suit. Top Spec looks held on the York form but can make a bid for the frame, while Velvet Waters is highly likely to try and make all the running. She will in all probability fade as they hit the rising ground, while Magic Amigo gave no show at Sandown last time and cannot be supported on that latest evidence at least. Richtee did nothing wrong last time and is worth a follow-up wager.
