        Verdict

        Tender Process gets the nod over Tilly's Dream and Diane's Choice, with Devine Dancer also in with a chance. The day's feature race can see the progressive Tender Process score again off what appears to be a decent enough weight. Ed McMahon's gelding has improved for the switch to softer ground, having run well at Bath, before coming good at Thirsk just over a fortnight ago. He shaped as though there was plenty more to come at the North Yorkshire track, and he should go close. Tilly's Dream has a 6lb penalty for a recent improved performance at Folkestone, where she was ridden clear to score. However, she has a bit to find with the selection, while Diane's Choice made all in softish ground at Lingfield and is there to be picked off. Devine Dancer has shown her best form on a faster surface, and those at the top of the handicap are not in form, so we prefer the claims of Tender Process.
