    Verdict

Famous Name made this race his own with a hat-trick before Aidan O'Brien won it last year with Declaration Of War when Bold Thady Quill was runner-up. The winner went on to land two Group 1 races so connections of KINGSBARNS will be hoping for more of the same. The 2012 Racing Post Trophy winner didn't reappear until the Irish Champion Stakes here in September when he lost his action and was virtually pulled up but ran a tremendous race behind Olympic Glory in the QE11 at Ascot the following month and hopes are high of a successful campaign this year. Pop Art will love the testing ground and has fitness on her side having already run well in a Group 3 at the Curragh while Light Heavy had his finest hour when landing the Derby Trial here in 2012 but didn't reappear last season following two moderate runs at Meydan early in the year. Qewy reappeared with a victory on soft ground last season and his two later runs were on fast going.
