Mr Eko hadn't shown much over fences before scoring at Clonmel but he did it nicely that day, though he starts off in a handicap off a high enough mark. Winning point-to-pointer Whatdoyousay had shown virtually nothing before an all-the-way success on his handicap debut at Thurles under a fine ride from Tom Doyle. He's gone up a massive 13lb for that and this is a much stiffer task. VICTRIX GALE has been well beaten in all four starts over fences but makes his handicap bow from a lowly mark and is just the type to spring a surprise in a race lacking in quality. Dun Masc has yet to reach a place in five starts over fences but did a little better at Clonmel last time.
