Verdict

Four Group 1 winners take on the brilliant dual Derby winner AUSTRALIA but Aidan O'Brien's colt is impossible to oppose after he dropped back to this trip and landed the Juddmonte from today's rival The Grey Gatsby. The son of Galileo out of seven times Group 1 winner Ouija Board should light up the opening day of Champions Weekend before heading to either the Arc or the Champion Stakes at Ascot. The Grey Gatsby, successful in the French Derby, had no answer to the winner at York but has every right to be considered the main threat though triple Group 1 winner Al Kazeem, runner-up behind The Fugue in this a year ago and back in winning form after an unsuccessful spell at stud, could be the one to split the pair. Mukhadram had Trading Leather two lengths behind in the Eclipse but sweated badly and pulled very hard in the Juddmonte and was soon done with.
