Verdict

The list of recent winners includes Rite Of Passage, Solwhit, Al Eile and Dorans Pride so a spell of hurdling is a bonus. Pittoni, a Grade 1 winner over timber in February, had a nice spin on the level at Listowel last month which will have put him straight for this. Fosters Cross has been chasing but reverted to the level at Navan earlier this month and had three lengths to spare over today's rival Cross Appeal. Boulavogue was third in this last year and is 1lb lower but needs testing ground while Knight Eagle may just be a few pounds high after his success at Bellewstown in August. WEE GIANT has never tackled this trip on the Flat but it looks just what is required. He won over 2m2f over timber at Downpatrick last month and was staying on at the finish when a very good second to Table Mountain over 1m5f at Navan last time. The three-year-old What A Charm looks a promising stayer and is another to consider in a wide-open handicap.
