In depth

Verdict

Ballysteen gained his maiden success over timber on his debut and, though he's competed at a higher level since, doesn't appear to have made great progress. Protaras made all at Naas a couple of weeks ago and is progressing but this is much tougher and Page Turner ploughed through the mud to make all here in January and will find very different conditions today. SCOTS GAELIC took his time winning over timber but did so in very good style at Wexford on St Patrick's Day and quicker conditions can enable him to complete a double.
