Verdict

Ronan Whelan is making a name for himself and has twice ridden INTYRE TRAIL to victory. Peter Fahey's charge has gone up 6lb for a narrow Tipperary success but is still on a reasonable mark and can take this. Hilarys First appeared to appreciate stepping up to 1m2f at Clonmel and may find this too sharp and it would be no surprise to see Philosophers Guest, who made most of the running that day, reverse the form. Aragorn Icon has dropped to a very fair mark but disappointed when fancied at Tipperary when the consistent Secret Hero was in front of him. The latter is another to look well handicapped and could provide the main threat as further rain would enhance his chances.
