Verdict

End Of The Affair held off a determined challenged by ONEEIGHTOFAMILE over 2m1f at Clonmel but the runner-up was having his first start since October and has since beaten a huge field easily in a handicap hurdle at Punchestown. John Kiely's charge looks good enough to continue in the winning vein here. Concrete And Clay needs plenty of give in the ground and if the rains arrive he'll go well from this mark after a fine run over a trip much too short here in April. Classy chaser Bob's Pride is probably warming up for Galway but Golan Go, a winner over 1m6f at Wexford last month, is in very good heart and probably capable of better.
