Verdict

Love On Top had Dantes Firth in second and Good As Gold a close third when scoring on heavy ground at Gowran and can confirm the form though the runner-up has performed well again at Thurles. Melbourne Lady, runner-up in a Listed contest at Punchestown in October, would have a very good chance on the formbook but hasn't been tested on this sort of ground. Is Herself About followed her heavy ground success at Cork with a disappointing run at Thurles on Sunday but the four-year-old ANNAGH HAVEN ran very well in a maiden there that day and looks well enough treated to go one better. Pleased As Punch has been generally consistent at this sort of level and her lowly weight is further reduced by Danny Benson's claim.
