Jody Townend is by far the most experienced rider here so her presence on board COSMIC ROCK is intriguing. A winner here and at Listowel in 2021, his two recent runs should have brought him to peak fitness and he's on a nice mark. Farmix looked a smart novice chase prospect in 2020 and 2021 but it's almost three years since he last ran. Young Dev gained his fourth course victory at the fixture a year ago though that was over 3m. Alpesh Amin won a handicap over slightly further here in March and has performed with credit in both subsequent starts in better company while Quest With Speed won here last month and was impeded under a penalty at Punchestown five days later. Ardera Ru has been in very good form and is another to consider in an open handicap.
