In depth

Verdict

Easy Clonmel winner Cluan Dara has been raised 9lb but is still that amount out of the handicap. Tiger Voice made a successful debut over fences at Galway and probably would have followed up at Punchestown but for falling at the second last. He may have been feeling the effects when running moderately back at Galway and has been given a break before his handicap debut. Glorious Galway came out on top in a battle of attrition over the course and distance a fortnight ago when only two finished. He's been hit with a 7lb rise and was ridden by a 5lb claimer that day so is effectively 12lb higher so a chance is taken on MIDNIGHT MAESTRO getting round. An impressive winner at Leopardstown in December, he made too many mistakes in the Grand National Trial at Punchestown then fell at the last when there with every chance in a better race than this back at Leopardstown.
