    Verdict

Another contest for fillies only, which can make life difficult as they can improve beyond recognition once they feel some sun on their backs. Gerard Butler's runners always have to be respected here and Loreto Rose, who will be fitter for her seasonal bow, has to be given a chance even off top weight. Her last two runs have been at this trip and have shown her in a better light. Figura has been knocking on the door of late but is still 10lbs higher than for the second of her recent course and distance wins. She is closely weighted with Tight Squeeze (who beat her into second place), Inchinnan and Weecandoo on her latest run, and you'd have to give all three a chance, although Tight Squeeze might find it difficult to repeat that success. Page Nouvelle, whose form tapered off last season, has chances on the best of her turf form now that she makes her all-weather debut. However, she has not run yet this season, which could well count against her. Petite Futee also lacks a recent run. She won twice last August at up to 10 furlongs but looks worth opposing upon her return. Ed Dunlop's Second To Go, a $50,000 purchase, makes her all-weather debut and certainly has a USA dirt pedigree. She steps up in trip today but lack of a previous run this season is a concern. Companion came good in a course and distance seller last time in a first-time visor - Picquet, ninth that day, looks held on the form - but, raised 6lbs for that effort, looks opposable. Little Miss Tricky and, from well out of the handicap, Formidable Stella, are hard to fancy. Even off top weight, Loreto Rose could run well, but the form of Tight Squeeze's run here on March 14 could well have a big bearing on the shape of this race and, with that in mind, Inchinnan gets the vote.
