        Verdict

        A trappy maiden here and the market will be very informative with those to have run it would be no surprise if the race went to a newcomer and with this in mind the principals look to be Resplendent Alpha, Avoid The Cat and Daddy Cool and the tentative vote is given to Resplendent Alpha. The selection hails from a yard in top form and this well bred sort from a good draw will not have to be anything special to make a winning Debut. Avoid The Cat rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Kyshanty but the drop in trip has to be of concern and he looks opposable on that basis. Daddy Cool was a fair sixth behind Ponty Rossa last time that was a fair race and he is sure to improve so he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder The Bronx is another that showed a modicum of ability on his debut and is sure to improve but in a race where the market will be very informative and where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Resplendent Nova.
