    Verdict

On to the Polytrack course for the rest of the card and a trio of interesting newcomers on show here. Gassin Golf and Tamarrud both have early entries for the Derby so today's trip should be well within their compass, but ROMANTIC may be good enough on his debut, especially if well supported in the betting. He can boast eight winning relatives including the high-class Second Empire, who was unbeaten as a two-year-old, and Sir Henry Cecil's colt gets the vote. Art Law comes out best of those with experience judged on his recent second at Haydock, though it would be no surprise to see a big improvement from Perfect Gratitude.
