In depth

Verdict

Thunder Flash is having only his seventh career start and won a classified stakes over track and trip before finishing third in a handicap at Windsor on his latest outing. He is likely to be among the market leaders while Thermal has been getting closer. A case can certainly be made for Plansina, who hasn’t won for more than two years but was 14lb higher in the weights when last successful. Having finished third over this trip at Chelmsford, SCARBOROUGH CASTLE possibly found 1m4f a shade too far at Kempton. He was still only a neck behind Beat The Breeze and can reverse that form here being better drawn than that rival.
