    Verdict

Recent winners Secam and Rowan Pursuit are expected to go close here, but we will take a chance on Summerise. Conrad Allen's filly was in hot form before Christmas landing two races here over ten furlongs. They were only banded events but she gets in here on a very fair mark and can continue her winning ways. Secam has to shoulder top-weight thanks to a six pound penalty he incurs for a victory here last month. He did win with a bit in hand and should be involved in the finish again today. Meanwhile Rowan Pursuit landed a competitive seller over course and distance last time and still looks on the upgrade. Of the others Balerno landed some nice bets last time and could be vying for some place money, however Summerise looked a progressive type last year and can land the hat-trick
