DRIVEN is taken to follow up a fine win at Brighton last week, at the expense of Diego Rivera and Hidden Door. Driven ran some consistent races last year, but stepped up on that form when staying on strongly at the Sussex track to win going away. It looks significant that Amanda Perrett runs her charge under a penalty, and Driven looks capable of defying top weight. Diego Rivera lost his maiden tag at the eleventh attempt at Wolverhampton, and that was a game success in a decent event. He is only 3lbs higher here, and he may have derived confidence from his success and is feared. Hidden Door, a daughter of Montjeu, makes her debut in this country for Jane Chapple-Hyam, and she too is respected, though breeding suggests that a longer distance is required to see her at her best. Driven is in form and can score again.
