Verdict

A half-brother to a Grade 2 winner in the USA, Saarrem makes his racecourse debut and any strong support in the betting could prove significant. Belrog will no doubt be winning over middle-distances this year having shown promise in both starts over a mile last term. Passionate Affair has the more recent form with a second at Wolverhampton to his credit and makes more appeal than Trafalgar Rock, while much better is expected from the 150,000gns colt Tactical Strike. But the vote goes to MORNING WATCH, third at Kempton in November to Groovejet, who went on to land a treble.
