      Verdict

      HIGHLAND GLEN may be the way forwards here with Signaller having blotted his copybook at Ripon and Albaasha not showing a great deal on debut. The selection could only finish in midfield at headquarters in October but he's bred to come into his own over middle distances and should be all the better for that initial experience. He certainly fared better than Albaasha did at Lingfield where the son of Lemon Drop Kid didn't appear to know what was required of him. That shouldn't have been a worry for supporters of Signaller at Ripon and it has to go down as a disappointing run when he was turned over at odds of 1-5 having shown promise on debut. A bigger threat could be carried by Saa'ida who deserves credit for finishing in midfield behind Nehaam in a valuable race on her reappearance but it remains to be seen whether that flatters her. Fisadara has shown little and the two newcomers wouldn't have to be out of the ordinary to score so the market could prove useful with Highland Glen receiving the nomination at this juncture.
