Verdict

MASTER LIGHTFOOT is taken to make a winning return to action by getting the better of Todber and Steelcut amongst others. Walter Swinburn is capable of readying one after an absence and Master Lightfoot may prove capable of shedding his maiden tag on this belated return. He didn't fare too badly in a maiden won by Triple Aspect on debut before running three sound races on his subsequent starts and a similar performance should see him go close. Steelcut comes into the race in really good form, following up his win in a claimer with a sound run in a Salisbury handicap and he remains well enough treated. Todber is another that hasn't seen much action this term but she ran well enough when last seen in April and could get into the shake-up if producing a similar effort. Chjimes is a course specialist who ran well last time but he doesn't have much margin for error from his current perch with similar remarks applying to Fault. Garstang was one place in front of Chjimes last time so is yet another to consider but we prefer the claims of the relatively unexposed Master Lightfoot.
