      Verdict

      Watchable was winning on the all-weather for only the second time when scoring at Newcastle and Stake Acclaim has so far done all his winning on the Turf. Prince of Rome makes more appeal back over today’s minimum trip but Thegreatestshowman’s course and distance success last month came in a lower grade when beating Just That Lord less than a length. The latter was beaten in this last year behind runner-up GRACIOUS JOHN (NAP), who also won the two runnings previous to that. Ian Williams’ charge finally looks set to take advantage of this year’s tumble down the weights having produced a much better effort when second at Chelmsford last time and gets the vote to go one better.
