There are a particularly uninspiring bunch so we'll take a chance that blinkers will improve bottom weight BIRDY BOY. His form so far has been very ordinary but he has his sights lowered today and the yard could hardly been in better form. Spithead was sent off favourite at Wolverhampton last time but dropped away tamely in the straight after cutting out the early running. He must be capable of better and is preferred to Ana Shababiya, who shapes as though she needs a more searching test. Cernanova may be best of the rest.
