Stepping up to a mile and soft going were legitimate excuses for AL KHAFJI at Newbury last time. He remains a colt of some potential and may have got in lightly here on his nursery debut. However, this is a competitive handicap for the time of year and Bochart deserves some reward for his consistency. Lightsome is open to improvement after just the three runs and likewise Swilly Sunset, who has won on Tapeta. Protest, Port Paradise and Zoffany's Way are others to consider if the market speaks in their favour but Forgotten Wish has been a little disappointing lately.
