Verdict

Capitalise was good value for his win here last month but has disappointed back over hurdles since then and Vince Smith's gelding looks best left out of calculations, with preference for Josh You Are, ahead of Wait For The Will. The last mentioned has run well in his last two starts and should be thereabouts again but the 12-year-old is proving to be hard to win with at present so he may be best watched. Generous Lad is gradually dropping back to a fair mark and he has to be considered, while Jim Best's Lordswood could probably do with some help from the handicapper. The vote then goes to Josh You Are. Michael Wigham's gelding has been running consistently well of late and is taken to resume winning ways here.
