Verdict

A wide open seller with 10 runners, but not many have chances of winning on form. Frantic Annie has been well beaten in handicaps of late but is taking a big step down in grade and must be fancied on that score alone. Uhuru Dawn was a fair second in a similar contest behind Waterline Dancer last time out and a reproduction of that form would see him go close. Well Red finished in mid-division in a maiden over course and distance last time out behind Roman Quintet and a reproduction of that form would give him place claims at least. Allenwood has been well backed to win similar contests on occasions but was very disappointing and there was no improvement when tried in a first time visor last time out. Service won a similar race as a two-year-old but has shown very little since. One More Hymn has also been placed in similar grade but he too has shown very little of late.
