Hadath is the pick here over the likes of Free Option, Yeldham Lady and Welsh Wind. Brendan Powell has been a trainer to follow under both codes this season and hopes are high that Hadath can keep the pot boiling. At the age of eight, there are certainly no surprises to be had with the son of Mujtahid who has come down the ratings since becoming something of a regular here at Lingfield. A winner on turf including four times in Ireland, he drops in grade after finishing third to Katiypour in claiming company last time, and the extra furlong can only be in his favour. Free Option has been successful in stronger company than today's in the past and seems to get on with Laura Pike although he needed to be cajoled along when scoring here last April. He would have been in need of his recent return to action and should play a leading role. Yeldham Lady has time on her side but will find it hard to rise above this class, while Welsh Wind is a shadow of his former self these days. Hadath is a speculative selection.
