In depth

Verdict

Royal Tara creeps further up the weights having placed yet again when going close at Chepstow and today’s testing going may not suit. Socksy is preferred on this surface having just missed out over 3m at Wetherby in December but this longer trip may prove a problem and BOB FORD makes most appeal. He’ll copes well with both the marathon trip and ground and showed the benefit of a recent wind operation when runner-up at Uttoxeter last month. Greyed A disappointed at Catterick recently but Pearl Swan is back on a winning mark while Ballymalin and Knockanrawley are still looking to exploit a slide down the weights.
