      Verdict

The first of three turf races on today's card can go to FILUN. He registered his first win on turf when running out an emphatic winner at Brighton last time and this doesn't look any tougher despite an 8lb rise. Kayaan has been mostly hurdling this year and took his own time to get into things on last month's return to the Flat. He'll appreciate today's longer trip and is preferred to Lady Lam, who has yet to prove she lasts the distance. The remaining trio are all badly out of sorts and hard to fancy as such.
